Start as a tiny cell and eat your way to the top of the food chain in Agar.io, the massively popular multiplayer survival game. The concept is incredibly simple: consume the small, colorful blobs scattered around the map to grow larger, but watch out for the other players. If a cell is bigger than you, they can eat you in one gulp. It’s a constant game of cat and mouse where size is everything, and the only way to climb the leaderboard is to keep eating.

Pro Tips & Strategies

Just floating around won’t get you to the number one spot. You need to use some strategy to survive and hunt down other players.

• The Split Attack: If you see a smaller player trying to run away, press the Spacebar to split your cell in half. This shoots one half of your body forward, letting you swallow them up instantly. It takes a little practice to aim, but it’s the best way to trap opponents.

• Drop Weight to Move Faster: The bigger you get, the slower you move. If you are being chased by a massive player and need to make a quick getaway, press the ‘W’ key to spit out some of your mass. You will shrink a bit, but the speed boost could save your life.

• Size Matters: You physically cannot eat a player who is the exact same size as you. Only commit to an attack when you are absolutely sure you have the size advantage.

Game Modes

Agar.io keeps things fresh with five different ways to play:

• FFA (Free-For-All): The classic mode. It’s every cell for themselves. Eat, grow, and try to dominate the server.

• Battle Royale: The map slowly shrinks as time goes on. If you get caught outside the safe zone, you lose. Be the last cell standing to win!

• Teams: Players are divided into Red, Blue, and Green factions. Work together with your color to take over the map and crush the rival teams.

• Experimental: This is the testing ground where the developers try out weird new mechanics and map features. Expect the unexpected.

• Party: Want to play with your friends? Generate a custom room code or join one your friend made so you can play in the same lobby together.

HOW TO PLAY

Controlling your cell is super easy, making it simple to jump right into the action. Before you spawn into the arena, you can pick a custom nickname and choose a fun skin to stand out from the crowd.

• Mouse: Steer your cell (it will automatically follow your cursor).

• Spacebar: Split your cell in half.

• W Key: Eject mass from your cell.
