The core strategic challenge is figuring out exactly when to move each character and discovering which specific combination of heroes is required to hold down buttons, balance platforms, and clear the path forward.
Classic Hazards and New Challenges
Veterans of the series will feel right at home with the environmental dangers. The golden rule remains unchanged: Fireboy cannot touch water, and Watergirl cannot touch fire. Green ooze is instantly fatal to everyone.
You will need to navigate these elemental hazards while solving complex mechanical puzzles. Levers must be flipped, and gates must be held open, often requiring multiple characters to work in perfect sync. While merely surviving is a challenge, perfectionists can aim for the top rating by collecting every color coordinated diamond scattered across the stage and beating the strict level timer.
